Show prospect male puppy available

Otto is a very promising puppy looking for a home who might be interested in showing him. First and foremost though he must be a much loved family pet.

Otto is a very outgoing boisterous puppy who needs a home where there will be someone to keep him company the majority of the day and preferably another dog to play with.

Please only ring if you are genuinely interested and have a knowledge of the breed and will be prepared to put in the time and effort taking him to training classes and making sure he is well socialised with other dogs.

He has a very well bred pedigree from strong Italian, European and Scandinavian lines and thus so far himself has a nice head and good angulations and spring of rib.

Breeding Ethics
2009 is looming with the first classes at Crufts. On one hand this is great but on the other due to the mis-guided judging is a worry.

Having been in the breed 7 years and not just having one, having spent many many weeks abroad visiting kennels, shows etc I have a good understanding of what the bracco should be.
Some may say I am bias, rubbish, I just care that the dog representing the breed is worthy, I don't care who bred it.

Before any bitch is bred from we insist that as with all our own dogs, that the stud dog is hip-scored and swab tested for any sexually transmitted diseases such as Pseudomonus or Streps. It is now known that this is to be the cause of fading puppy syndrome.

Both parents will be DNA profiled before mating giving a 100% guarantee of the pedigree of your puppy.
Transmitted diseases in mating
Each and every puppy is reared in the house amongst all the usual hustle and bustle. The are well handled and much loved. Before they leave they will be vet checked. Diet will be explained well in advance of them leaving, 6 weeks insurance, wormed and you will be supplied with loads of information. A life time back up for both you and the puppy who if at any time in it's life for unforseen circumstances and for any reason will be taken back. These things happen and can't be helped, hinesight is wonderful thing we rarely have!!
Co-ownership

This may or may not be for you. This is something that works extremely well in Finland but it seems not to work so well here.

My dogs will always be first and foremost pets so I refuse to keep keeping puppies from every litter, you can't give every dog enough attention so from each future litter I hope to home a dog with a family for free, this will be a pet home or show home and how this works is that you have the puppy for no money but it remains in my name as owner. You pay vet bills and it is recommended you insure the dog, I pay for a pet passport, any shows and of course any costs incurred when the dog returns for a litter. If you have no interest in showing the dog then you need to be happy for me to take the dogs to show both here and abroad but this will only be around 15 days a year. At 2.5 to 3 years old at my expense totally the dog comes back to me to have a litter and is then safely and lovingly returned to you. After this the dog is transferred into your ownership and you may have 1 litter yourself to an approved stud dog and then the bitch is to be spayed.

This isn't for everyone and it would be fully legally contracted and only available to people within 50 miles of Bridgend in South Wales.

Please don't jump at this thinking free dog. The home will be overly vetted. You need to ask yourself if you really could cope with the dog being away for 10 weeks to have puppies, though full visiting rights of course!! If you can't then please don't ask.
